In Parent Time, I learned how important dialogic reading is when reading to my child. I use this method when we read at school or at home.

Little did I know, she was grasping on to the things I was teaching her. For example, when she was about six months old, I noticed her body language would change from curious to excitement when I would talk to her and ask her if she was ready for me to read to her. As she got older I could still see the same sparkle of excitement in her eyes when it's time to read.

Our biggest goal was to help him get over being shy. The first of 100,000 books are rolling in.eHarlequin.com, the online site for Harlequin Enterprises Limited, has challenged its community members to read 100,000 books in one year in the 2008 eHarlequin.com 100,000 Book Challenge. At the end of the year, Harlequin will make an unprecedented donation of an equivalent number of books to NCFL.

Her essay focuses on the struggle between creating a better life and being an active participant in her daughter's education. Luckily, Kayla is finding a way to do both. "FACE strengthens my daughter and her grandmother's relationship as well as my relationship with my mother and daughter. It brought our whole family together. They provided many opportunities for my daughter.

I am currently enrolled at Northern New Mexico College pursuing a BA in Elementary Education. The FACE preschool has had a big influence on my choice of degree. I am at the school every day and I have realized that I love being there! Every day I learn my FACE skills.One of my FACE skills is paying attention to the little things my sons are learning to do. For them it's not little, it's BIG!
